Gold Standard Treatment
CDT is the internationally recognized gold standard for lymphedema treatment. This comprehensive approach combines four key components to effectively reduce swelling and help you maintain results long-term.
Treatment typically involves an intensive phase (4-6 weeks of frequent visits) followed by a maintenance phase where you'll have the skills and tools to manage your lymphedema independently with periodic check-ins.
CDT includes four components:

Individual Services
Each service can be provided as part of CDT or as a standalone treatment based on your needs.
A gentle, rhythmic massage technique that redirects lymph fluid from swollen areas to healthy lymph nodes where it can drain properly. MLD is deeply relaxing while being therapeutically effective at reducing swelling and discomfort.
Expert application of multilayer compression bandaging during the intensive treatment phase, plus professional measurement and fitting of compression garments for long-term maintenance. I'll help you navigate insurance coverage for garments too.
Customized exercise routines designed to promote lymphatic flow, improve range of motion, and build strength safely. You'll learn exercises you can continue at home to support your treatment gains between visits.
Specialized early intervention for patients following cancer surgery, lymph node removal, or radiation therapy. Early treatment can significantly reduce the severity of lymphedema and improve long-term outcomes.
Comprehensive training in self-care techniques including self-massage, bandaging, skin care routines, and exercise programs. My goal is to empower you to confidently manage your lymphedema between visits and for life.
Proactive evaluation for individuals at risk of developing lymphedema, such as cancer survivors. Early detection through baseline measurements and monitoring can lead to earlier intervention and better outcomes.
